Lloyd Walton"You witness a certain isolation and become the isolated one."
Graduating from the Ontario College of Art in 1970 with a major in animation, Lloyd has applied the core of his education (breathing life into the inanimate) to his paintings so they may take on a life of their own. With a long and distinguished career as director-cinematographer, his films have won over 35 international, national, and provincial awards. Artists such as the Group of Seven, have long inspired Lloyd’s use of colour, subject and style. During his career, Lloyd’s subject matter often took him to the same locations that inspired the Group of Seven. While on the job, Lloyd’s sketch books and paints were never far from his side. This is evident in hhis body of work. Exhibitions (Group)
