The Huntsville Art Society is seeking local & regional, professional artists For the CREATIVATION PILOT PROJECT 2010
A new pilot program offering innovative and challenging programs and activities for elementary and intermediate students (grades 1-8)
Artist educators will organize and deliver art activities such as after school programs, workshops, demonstrations, guest speakers, tours, mentoring, and student exhibitions.
The pilot program is planned to run from approximately June 2010 to February 2011.

We are looking for artists to take on one or more elements of the program.
These are paid artist positions!

Professional Fees
Basic hourly rate $50
Daily rate (maximum) $250
Planning and evaluation - hourly rate $40
$0.40 cent per km

Art Education Elements
After School/Summer ProgramsArt Mediums (Grades 1-5)*Elements of Art (Gr. 1-5/Gr. 6-8)*Principles of Art (Gr. 6-8)*Intro to Regional/National Art and Artists (Gr. 5-8)*To include components of the Ontario Ministry of Education Visual Arts Curriculum objectives and guidelines.
Community-Oriented Elements
Ongoing community updatesArts Directory of Muskoka, Community arts directories, HAS web site and videoLocal Art ToursGroup of Seven Outdoor GalleryJunior Open StudioThese modules involve the artist educator to display a piece(s) of their own art, lead a discussion, and then lead students in activity based on discussion and artwork Kids at Plein AirHuntsville Festival of the Arts & Shutterbug Gallery’s Annual Plein Air & Charity Auction Event
